Another Friday is upon us and I decided that it is time for another Friday Random Post. Today I decided with all the elections going on I would give my two cents worth.
Firstly, lets start off with the Canadian Federal Election which is taking place on October 14th. This is a very interesting race. I am not a fan of Stephan Harper and I think Stephane Dion, representing the Liberal Party seems to have a good ideas he is just not communicating them to the general public. I hope this changes in the next 2 weeks. In recent years my voting has gone all over the place but this year I think with the policies of the Liberal Party I will be leaning that way. Dion is big on the environment as am I and this is why I would vote for him. So get it together Stephane we need to at least prevent a majority goverment for the Conservatives.
Now for our own Municipal Election. This one I am not too sure about. Peter Kelly in my mind has been doing a good job. Is it time for a change? I am not sure. I have heard really good things about Sheila Fougere and I may have to do some more research to check her out and see what she stands for.
Now with regards to the crazy circus in the United States. This is a no brainer to me and most Canadians. Unfortunately it is not a no brainer in the States. How Americans could even entertain the thought of voting for another Republican is beyond me. They have destroyed thier economy. They have them in a war they will never win and George Bush is widely considered as the worst President ever. I like John Macain, he seems like a genuine guy but he also voted for all of Bushs plans over the years. So it could be more of the same. I am hoping Barrick Obama gets in. He is so well spoken and has it all together. Sure he is young and lacks experince, but so did Bill Clinton and he was a great President. I am not sure why as Canadians we care so much about the Americans, but we do. If we were allowed to vote there, Obama would get my vote.
That is it for today. Who knows what will happen in the coming weeks and months, only time will tell.
