Halifax Condo Update
Waterton Condos is a great new project by Greater Homes set to be completed in July/August of this year. There is 160 units in the building with over 100 sold already. It has spacious layouts and spectacular views. A great green feature of the project is that it uses ground source Geo Thermal for heating and cooling, which will significantly reduce energy costs. This project is disgusting! The building is almost 2 years overdue and Greater Homes is trying to screw people over by demanding $30,000 in additional deposits after they blew the closing date. The company is no longer talking to anyone. Stay away from this. Rumours are swirling that there are big problems!
I agree with you 100%. It’s unreal what they are doing there. I will not be recommending this building to any of my clients.

I spoke to a woman the other day at Walmart who overheard me talking to someone else about our situation here. She told me that after 4.5 years of waiting for her unit Greater Homes sent her a letter (not from a lawyer or to her lawyer) personally informing her that he contract was terminated immediately. I have heard of numerous letters like this. She was about 70 and said she was just too old to go through this and she and her husband walked away after all that time. This is just outrageous that this has not made the paper. These contracts are valid contracts!
Thanks Andrew for speaking up on this!! People need to know what is going on.
