Halifax Real Estate Market Update

This week on Market Watch Wednesday I am taking a look at the January stats for the Halifax Real Estate Market. After a great December the market slowed a little this past month.  Average price increased by 2% and the number of sales increased by 20% over 2009.

Great Stuff Andrew. Our Market had a 32% increase in sales last year, but that was obviously due to the fact we had such a slow Winter in 2008-09…. November 08, when everything “hit the fan”…

Great update and looking forward to more. I’m from the area, so your market watch is a great way to keep up to date with home!

Thanks Ben. I think the spring market is going to be very busy. I am looking forward to seeing how your market is doing when you get up and running. Thanks for the comment.

Hello,

What is your opinion about “Trillium” project – as an investment? Thanks.

Andrew February 10, 2010 at 4:18 pm

Hi There,
I think the Trillium is a great investment. It is in a prime location, it will be landmark building for Halifax and Atlantic Canada. It is going to be a very desirable place to live for a long time in Halifax.

Andrew,

Thanks, what will be the price for the Trillium condos? I don’t mean the penthouse, but the regular 2500 square feet condos? Could you please give an estimate? Thanks.

The pricing will start at about 400k and go up from there. I have to be honest they have not been very forthcoming with information on the project to Real Estate agents.

Andrew
