Sales continue to slide compared to the last couple of years. There were only 72 sales last week in the Halifax real estate market.

We are seeing an upward trend in average price in the Halifax real estate market. Average price last week was 289k

Market Watch Wednesday
Due to an illness I have been battling the last couple of days I am unable to do my video blog. I was hoping I would be well enough this morning to get it done. Unfortunately that is not the case. I did however have the slides ready to go and I have included them below.
Looking at the numbers for the North End of Halifax we can see that both average price and the number of sales are down quite a lot to begin the year. Being so early in the year it is hard to gauge the accuracy of these numbers. Also the fact that there is very little inventory at present in the north end with only 28 active listings which would obvisiouly push the number of sales down. With the spring market fastly approaching I expect these numbers to change.

Sales this past week inched up slightly compared to 2009 and just a little below 2010 numbers. The trend is comparable to 2009.

Average Price edged up slightly this week and looks to be on a upward trend. Average price for this week was 279k
